Do people have the same problem I do with saturation of really red objects? I was using "setting 2" on my Canon 300D which bumps the saturation to +2 and noticing that red becomes saturated to the point of obnoxiousness.

Do people purposely set the saturation down when shooting red?

And no, I don't use RAW...call me a wuss.

Why would you set it to +2 in the first place?

Just leave it at 0 and mess with it later in PS, that way you can simply not increase the red channel as much.
