Apologies for the late notice, but the server on which the DPC Fanatics chatroom resides has been having difficulties recently, cumulating in a failure yesterday morning. We're currenting working on repairing the server and getting it back up and running, but in the mean time I've established an emergency chatroom on one of my other servers:
//backup.hawkins.nu/gtchat
I'll keep you all updated as and when we make progress...

the chat actually isn't part of this site, but is an independent site run by Manic and open to DPC users. Stop in and check it out if you like!

UPDATE: the server has had a physical memory failure as well as a minor disk error, so we're currently moving the data onto a completely new server for the time being. Unfortunately, this means that the normal chatroom will remain offline until at least tomorrow, so we'll just have to keep the emergency chatroom running for the time being (sorry if the backup one is slow).

UPDATE: The chatserver is back up and running as usual! Sorry for the delayed fix, but I'm on holiday at the moment, and thus only have limited internet access. The server will probably have to be rebooted sometime over the next week, but that should only be a minor outage.

Due to hurricane Wilma hitting Florida, the chatroom server has been knocked offline. For the time being, the emergency chatroom is working still, so please chat there until further notice.

It's not letting me log in; says invalid PW. Do I need to register separately for this alternate site?

It's running off an older backup copy of the chat site, so it's possible that if you've changed your password in the last month or so, it won't have been reflected on the backup yet. If you're still having problems, let me know and i'll reset your password.
