Hi all,
Most of the tight shots were taken with the 500/4.5 and the 1D, the rest with 20D, 24-70/2.8 and the 10-22 efs lens.

thanks,

Actually I have a lot of dead shots. The camera loved to focus on the background(That's AI servo for you) Until I remembered there is a pre-set on my lens but by then it was a bit too late and I had a missed a lot of shots. |

Me too. If I wasn't working I would've been there too. |

Amazing stuff, especially the ones with the street in the background.

More in Icer Air. A fellow member of our local camera club, Jim Goldstein,
just posted these incredible shots of the big day last week.
Enjoy these. |

Love the shot of the police officer with the camera-phone ... although I thought from the thumbnail that he had a radar gun -- maybe to see if the skiers were exceeding the speed limit : ) |

Killer shots, thanks for sharing. And how awesome that it was a day with blue sky instead of fog/overcast!

Glad you're enjoying the pics of the Icer ski jump in San Francisco last week.
I just saw some sequence shots tonight at Camera Club, and they were remarkable.
Yes, our guy had a press pass and used it well to get these pictures.
