I spent 8 hours there on a stop over to Abu Dhabi in 1998. I was pretty exhausted so I didn't even bother leaving the terminal to look around. And all I had at the time was a disposable so the pics weren't very good at all. I don't even know whatever happenned to them.

Get lots of pics. I'm curious to see if I will recognize the place now.

ah crap, we went their but arived pretty late around evening.
So images are dark and probably not recognizable. I didn't shot from the terminal, but outside of the Airport field. It's more fun to see the airplanes take-off and land I think.

Going back in couple of weeks when it's sunny & dry (was raining today)
and earlier on the day so we can stay longer and take more photo's.

Will show u photo's that I took soon!!

big bummer Sander, I know you had to drive like 1 1/2 hours to get there...

Ok, you have the 'pier' from wich you can shoot some interesting shots, but it is also interesting to drive to the designated spotter spots. Takeoff and landing, bring a long lens and know when what/who arrives.
Arrivales and Departures are pretty boring, altough outside at the Departures 1sec parking space in front of the building it can get pretty hectic.

Ya, we found knew some nice spots (not spotters places) but differents.
But it was to dark allready to take nice shots of the plains going airborn. So I put it on long exposure which resulted in nice things.

Will be on my site pretty shortly :-)

@bite, ya 1,5 hours drive.. lol and traffic jam :(
ahwell, we had a good time :D
