Hello,

In your opinion (or fact based), what is the most popular size photograph? In other words, if I'm going to put up a photo for sale, what would likely sell? 4x5, 5x7, 8x10, 11x17 etc?

Most would be landscapes, nature, bugs....

Lately, I've mostly been putting up prints with the 8x10 apect ratio, since that's the most commonly available pre-fab frame size. If the file's big enough, that also covers the 4x5 and 16x20 print sizes.

I almost always crop "for the image" and then pad out the background to the next largest standard print size, i.e. I border the prints. When I'm not too lazy, that makes it fairly easy to make the same image available in more than one aspect ratio, by changing the background size, but leaving the image the same.
