HI all

I am back again after your help, someone has tried to tell me that there is no dif on this cam i just bought between 3 and 6 megapixels in terms of quality. the max i print is a4 and i was wondering what everyone else shot in, as if i should be using 3mp i could have a lot more pics

There is a difference. It has been claimed by various reviewers that the 6 MP interpolated superCCD is equivalent to a 4MP from a standard CCD.

The general consensus among 602 owners who have done extensive tests is that shooting at 6mp gives you an image equivalent to a 4 to 4.5mp shot. A 3mp image will give you a pretty decent A4 print (around 180dpi) but you may regret it later if you want to print bigger.

I always shoot in 6mp, soft sharpening, simply to get the highest possible amount of raw data. I occasionally drop to 3mp in the wild to get a touch extra digital zoom because I like to frame in camera as much as possible.

Check out the Fuji Forum over on //www.dpreview.com - there are a lot of very knowledgable 602 owners over there.

Well as I sit here in my office I am looking at a 16x24 printout of one of my images and it looks damn nice. I shoot all my shots in 6mp mode and have no problems getting at least that large of a print from them. Your mileage may very, but this cam can do larger then A4.

Yup. If you don't already have one a 1Gb Microdrive is a great investment as it can hold 440+ 6mp images, I've only managed to fill it once and I shoot a lot. Scan Computers just up the road from you do a very good price on them too.
