You know, I wish these voters would leave me some comments to let me know what I'm doing wrong! How am I supposed to get better if no one mentors me? Maybe we could start a petition to have voters who vote 4 and below revealed so that we could study their work in their portfolio and learn from them. (Just a note) I'm not upset about the score. this shot was an experiment but, I really would like to improve and I can't do that without comments. |

Do you know there are currently 740 challenge entries to vote on right now with the three combined challenges? Generally what happens is people complete the votes, then come back around toward the end and start commenting. Not always that way - you will get some scattered comments now and then during the week, more if your image is a really good one. So it may be a bit early to complain about the lack of comments.
As for learning, I kind of disagree with your approach to submitting an experimental image for a challenge and expecting feedback. You are more likely to get positive, meaningful comments if you submit that same image to a forum and request help/opinions. It's rare to get in-depth feedback that is going to help during a challenge.

It IS amazing how no-one with a score over 6 will complain of only having 1 comment.
I think I'll start whining about not having fav's or wishlists instead. I'd like to have some people REALLY like my stuff if I can't have everyone like it. :O)
Still going up. I was hopeful with this shot, but this exceeds what I really expected. Glad I got one mostly right for a change :0)

Well I guess mine never made to your top 50 :( It's unfortunate though because I think it's a great image. It's scoring badly but I have 1 comment and 1 favorite so the fav makes it all seem worthwhile.

Lol! Nope :( It's that bad huh or maybe it's so run of the mill people overlook it? That's ok. We'll just have to wait and see. I still have my 1 favorite. I was hoping for a high 5 to a mid 6. I think my outtakes would have been better.
