Yeah!! Congrats to all who have been helping with the Critiques. Once again, we were able to complete ALL requests for the Portrait challenge. Everyone who requested an in depth Critique Club critique got the chance to receive one. This is the second challenge this month that we have completed all requests. The last one was High Contrast, and we ALMOST made it all the way through Branch.
This is great news.
73 Active CC members in the month of September. 41 active within the last week.
That's 27 more active member than only 9 days ago.
There are currently 340 images waiting to be critiqued.
Perspective photos are coming up now, with changeover not until tomorrow night. There's still a chance of getting a lot of these done.
Also a reminder that I am giving away a FREE DPC MEMBERSHIP. Details in THIS Thread.
Thanks again for your help and contributions to the Critique Club...It feels like a success once more. Keep up the great work. |

I wanted to add that it's not too late to join the CC if you're interested in winning the free DPC membership. Last I checked, the person who has made the most critiques since the 17th, had done 25, and there's still over a month to go! You're not out of the running at all. Just send me or manic or konador an email.
Just wanted to add how easy it could be to win a full year to DPC.
Go ahead and email me or post questions, comments, suggestions here. |

I'm doing my part to help a little bit. I long ago stopped ticking the critique box to lessen the load :-)

I haven't checked that box in forever either. Kind of like 'takin one for the team'. The less I request, the less the CC has to do. |

I never checked it when I was entering challenges.. I usually knew what I was doing wrong. lol
I wish I could mass-message everyone that checks the box and tell them to add their information on the shot though.. I've had to say "You've provided no information, so I cannot comment on this area" a little too much lately :) |

It's hard to do without details. If you absolutely cannot critique the photo given, pm me and I'll reassign you to another one.

I haven't run into that problem yet.. my critique method allows me to pretty much do a critique no matter what info is given.. it's just easier for me to do it *with* that info :) I just remind people during the critique. No problemo. |

EDIT...
Well, I started drawing Conspiracy photos from the CC and thought that all the perspective photos were done. Then I drew a destinatins photo, then drew another perspective photo. I wonder if they are all mixed up, or what's going on. Seems odd to me. I am not sure what's going on, so maybe my excitement was a little premature. *shrug*
Still with only 300 photos in CC, we should be able to knock that down a lot.
Who all is shooting for the free membership? There are quite a few people who look like they are in the running. I'll try some stats on that later tonight after work.

I'm not shooting for it, as I wouldn't truly use it. So make sure you consider someone else if I was even close to being in the running. Since going to registered user status, I find that my time is best served on the critique club, giving back what I got while being a member. So.. I'll just continue to work on my critiques, and try to make them better as I go.. I'm glad it's here, it helps keep me focused some days :)

This would be a good change request for D&L to consider. Make the submission form require photo info if the crique box gets checked with a friendly warning dialog box explaining this. Sure, people might still just type in "N/A" but they might decide to provide some info after all as well.
