I don't know alot about stock sites but from what I've been reading most of them don't want the pictures you submit to have any sharpening applied to them, including in-camera sharpening. So in my camera, Digital Rebel, the parameters go from -2 to +2 for sharpening (among other things).

Does that mean that I would have to set the sharpening to 0 or to -2 if I wanted something to conform to the stock site standards?

Also, if I have pictures already taken (raw) with +2 sharpening, can I reduce sharpening in RAW to make them more acceptable?

Is the little bit of in-camera sharpening really that big a deal?

It's believe that most designers prefer to do their own sharpening, editing, etc.

My new pictures don't have sharpening, but my original shots with my shot with my 3 megapixel cameras have sharpening and some of them made it through the gauntlet of being selected and some have not.

Just signed up for my 7th stock site, but can't make some of the big boys yet because of software, hardware, etc issues :)

There shouldn't be any in-camera sharpening applied to your raw files. The parameters only apply to jpegs.

Ahh, that solves that problem then, thanks!
