I am planning a trip to prague at the end of october and am looking for sudjestions for cheap places to stay???

Try Hostel World They are usually cheap, there is one called the boathouse that looks good, might be booking there early next year.

Check out the botels (hotel on a boat in the donau). Stayed on one once, small, but not to bad and you can get anywhere in the old town with ease from some of them.
