I have had several people suggest that I get one of my pics("wall eye") into a horse magazine but I have no idea how to begin this process. How do I offer it to them, in what format and who on a magazine do I approach?
Also any idea what I should do re copyright and how much I should ask for it? Can I approach more than one or sell it to more than one?
Help!!

First thing you should do is become familiar with horse magazines. Go to a place like Borders or Barnes and Noble and glance through the magazines. Find ones that you believe are suitable for your image. You may be able to find information in the magazine or via their website about whether they accept photo submissions - a lot of magazines do not accept unsolicited photos. Most magazines have email addresses these days so sending them an email enquiring about their policy and even linking them to your image/portfolio may be successful. In most cases magazines have a set price they pay for images used. |

Thanks for the advice. I am in the UK and pretty familiar with horse publications so I will look at their policies on this.
