I have a friend that is thinking of selling the following camera and is unsure if it's actually worth anything. Anyone know how much she should ask for?
Minolta XD-11
Case
Flash
Carrying strap |

A good way to gauge this type of thing is to just head off to eBay and do a search. I see several XD-11s there, ranging in the $100-$150-ish area, depending on what equipment is included. |

Camera's 25-30 years old. It's considered a workhorse; very reliable, solid camera, no frills. Not really a "collectible". I've seen them online as low as 75 dollars and as high as 190 dollars. The high end was for a professionally-refurbished camera being sold through a shop that specializes in older film cameras.
If the camera's absolutely mint it might be worth holding onto for another 10-20 years. Otherwise e-bay it and see what it trolls up :-)

I just sold my canon eos 500n (bought it in 1997) not really old, but it sold for $175 australian dollars. I was happy with that. Mind you, it was like saying goodbye to a baby when i posted it. LOL
