I didn't get a chance to vote on all the entries for Color Portrait but I noticed that there were quite a few technically beautiful photos of attractive models whose faces looked very "airbrushed" for lack of a better word and they tended to do very well overall. They look a little like the studio headshots of my friends who are actors.

And then there were many that I loved that I thought portrayed a lot of character and personality like the ones by Nazgul, toddhead, heida, sonifo, Philos31, shutterfly, aguapreta and many more.

It seems like there is a divergence here between shots that look they should be in a fashion magazines and shots that tell more of a story. Anyone else feel this way? Both can creat stunning shots, but my preference is for the latter. Maybe others disagree?
