Everything is in fractions is how I remember it...
Aperture f/4 = 1/4, f/11 = 1/11 therefore even though f/4 seems to be a smaller number than f/11 in reality 1/4th is bigger than 1/11th so there you go.
Shutter Speed is a little easier as 1" = 1 second and the rest are fractions of a second.
There's a whole lot more to it but that is how I remembered it at first.

i still have the stinkin manual... it's just 76 miles away. (long story).
My camera doesn't have an "f-stop" just "white balance" and "ev shift". I can figure out the white balance part as soon as it's daylight again. (can't wait!) |

sounds like i just found a reason to spend another 2 hours at the park taking pictures of a plant!
