I have oft wondered why a viable "third" party is not the Centrist Party - that would effectively put an end to the extreme polarization, IMO.

This test crashes my other machine. Not quite sure what a "democrat" is - test seems v skewed to US analysis, to me. But I will have a look to see if it is right.
Edit: I understand that by "democrat" the program is referring to the US political party, rather than any particular political philosophy (cf "socialist" and "fascist" on the same scale). Some of the questions will be unduly unbalanced for us non Americans (eg the question on gun control - most people in the UK would be in favour of gun control by virtue of our society, not by way of commentary on whether we are liberal/traditionalists we are - the issues are largely irrelevant and different here.
I don't have a problem with the classification from a very broad perspective, though.
