Hi. I have a serie of raw files to "develop" and I'm using Rawshooters.

But I've got a questoin for peoplu used to the program:

There's an option for noise suppression and color noise suppression. Does this work well or is it preferable to use Noise ninja or other program alike to do so? And about sharpness control? For what I see in the screen it doesn't bump up too much noise using this (I use it in very low numbrs like 10 at most) or doing USM in Photoshop? And I can't figure out the detail extraction also. Can't see a very noticiable effect.

Any help is very apreciated, regarding I have 188 images (after a selection in a 340 folder) and 90% of them where shot at iso 800 and 1600.

Persoanlly i try and stay away from the noide reduction in RSE and also in Photoshop. It has a tendancy to make the picture look very soft and if overdone - out of focus. Instead I rely on NeatImage to clean up my pics.

As for the sharpening if you slide the bar all the way to the left and then all the way to the right quickly you will see the difference in the pic. However I like to do my sharpening in PS so I usually do no sharpeing in RSE... I save it all for the USM. If you are going to do it this way then as a quick note make sure that you unclick the default check box of "sharpen 300%" in RSE.
