Is it absolutely necessary for the challenges? I don't think my camera gives any informations on those. Also, none of the recommended programs (in the FAQ section) to extract metadata won't work, since I'm not using Windows.

If it's Linux you're using there are several tools to read exif info from a jpeg. I'm currently using metacam.

Thanks! metacam works.

However, as I suspected, the camera doesn't provide aperture/shutter info, so the metatags aren't of any help.
