Just wondering if anybody out here knows of a good site that explains about layer blending (maybe some tutorials or something). I know this is a very important tool in Photoshop and I need to learn more about it. Currently I am limited to blending in multiply mode (with a soft blur over it) which seems to darken my pictures too much, but I really like the effect it gives to the picture. Anyway if there are any tutorials around I would really appreciate it.

Next on my agenda of things to learn is masking, so if you could keep an eye out for info on that I would appreciate it also. Thanks.

//www.luminous-landscape.com has some good articles on photoshop processing. Also, the adobe site has some help pages.

There is also a Photoshop magazine out that is outstanding in information.

I think its a monthly, and cost $5.

Personally I would recomend
//movielibrary.lynda.com/html/modPage.asp?ID=116

It cost 25 dollars a month, but it is well worth it.

This is a very good overview: click on the red heading for each mode to go to an examples page with more details and split-screen shots showing the effect.
