Was wondering if there is anyone from Maine or knows of any good places to go along the coast for photography?

Plus is there anyone in the Montreal Area that would be interested in coming along? It is about a four hour drive, so I am told.

Would be leaving Saturday or Sunday Morning... Early and coming back late.... I have room for three people in the car. The company I work for covers the gas costs. So, only expences would be your meals.

The coast is beautiful, but you really should go to Baxter State Park where Mt. Katadyn is. IMO its the most beautiful place on earth. Also it is probably the most protected land in the US, thanks to it being a conditional gift to the people of Maine.

edit:
Great chance at seeing moose also.

OMG... which part of the Maine coast to pick?? ROFL Well having grown up there (and now live in Montreal and would LOVE to go, but have other plans this weekend), I have lots of ideas of where to go...

I agree that Baxter is a great place to go... but you should also check out Bar Harbor and if you have a chance to go Down East, check out Quoddy Head Park in Lubec... also Roque Bluffs in Machiasport area is a picturesque (sp?) place to photograph...

I could go on and on, but it all depends on what part of Maine you're staying and what type of coastal pictures you want.... all the sand beaches are south near Portland and Old Orchard beach, while all the rugged, rock beaches are further north east...
