I hope some people do not take pictures after consuming a golden beverage with lots of bubbles and break at least 3 rules. |

So is this a new thing, like regularly? Two open challenges at once?

I'm confused.
Does this mean that we can only enter one of the challenges?
There's nothing in the challenge descriptions that seems to restrict entries, though.
... edited to add the key quotation from the earlier thread linked by mk for all of those like me who were too lazy to look at it first...
"Through the end of September, we will be running two Open Challenges per week; however, you will only be able to enter one of those challenges each week. You may choose which challenge you prefer. This experiment only affects the Open Challenges. Members may enter any and all Member challenges available."

Yeah, I hope the enter one challenge restriction is implemented in coding - and not by DQs (for people who might not read the forums)!

Is there a way of knowing about the restriction for those who don't read the forums? |

It is implemented in coding. You can't submit to both, once you submit to one of the two open challenges, the other is not an option for you anymore (unless you unsubmit the first one).
EDIT: But you can vote on both.

Do both open to you again if you pull your entry from one?
Robt.

Make one of them a "Speed Challenge" |

What if your bubble conformed to the rule of thirds?! Oh man what a dilemma...

So, it's not known.
I pity the poor chap who spends all week working on two photos just to find that only one'll be accepted. I can only imagine his delighted squeal. |

Suggestion:
I think it might be good if a note was added as special rules or something where the challenge is described. Both challenges are very doable. I'd do both if i could. I'd never have known about the extra rules had I not looked for this thread.
BTW I think this is a great solution to the large number of challenge entries issue. :D

That's funny, my sister's name is Rule of thirds. |

I predict a rant thread when the wrong person doesn't read the specifics and goes to the effort of shooting for both Open challenges!
This is an innovative solution to the recent discussions about overloading. It'll be an interesting experiment that I and many others will watch closely. |
