Hey Joynim, good to see some more Kiwis posting photos.
That could be a great portrait with some photoshopping. Most of these images look a little flat, perhaps abit of post processing would benifit. I look forward to seeing your future photos.
Cheers,
Simon |

Thanks Simon Kiwis unite!!! Yes that is what I am hoping to learn the difference between taking a snapshot which where I am now and taking a photo that people enjoy looking at. |

The picture of your daughter is very nice. The composition is pleasing and it has a very nice feel to it. I like her pensive look and the addition of the pink hat/scarf really brings her out from the background. Definitely more than a snapshot. As stated previously, some simple photoshopping could really help as it is a little flat. Have you tried using even just the auto levels, contrast and color. It's easy and it may just help bring this to the next level. I prefer using layers to do this but for quick family shots sometimes that's all I need. That and a little unsharp mask would probably make a world of difference. I also like the seal/sealion shot. It's quite sharp. :-)

A little processing can help a lot I think. I took the liberty on two of your photos. Hope you don't mind.

Yeah, I saw you in her eyes. I cropped that picture just a bit because I rotated it slightly. Her eyes were just off parallel. Thanks, Jenesis. |

Cute girl! Good editing, it really brings the photo out. I would play with the seal photo as well to bring out the colors. Editing can change the photo so much (something I am just learning). |
