This is the two ends of my Wednesday... The first is a shot of the sunrise as I drove Isaac to school (I cropped out the taillights in the foreground). For the second I stepped outside from work for a moment to catch the last of the sunset -- I had one "frame" left on my card, and actually missed the best light while I went upstairs and got my camera and juggled cards...Since I was standing in the median strip of a large street I had to crop out foreground cars here too -- that's how I ended up with a pseudo-panoramic crop. Only processing other than resizing is a minimal tone curve adjustment and minor sharpening on the sunrise photo.
Sunrise/Sunset is a quck draft of the two images combined onto one print. If you want to see the images separately just click on the NEXT button or use these links for Diablo Sunrise or North Oakland Sunset. --Paul

Hey, thanks! I decided to go back to the unbordered cropand sumbit it to Luminous Landscape -- I haven't sent anything there in a while.
If you want to see the original, unmodified frame click here. |

thanks for the lanscape contest link. I think I know of a spot to take a pic I could submit... should be fun to hear what Mr. Reichmann has to say about it... Thanks again! |
