I wondered this too, so I'm posting to follow the answer. |

I don't know for sure but it would seem to me that since you really aren't changing an integral part of the photo or manipulating pixels, that it wouldn't be a problem. Maybe somebody else will answer for sure, but I see no problem with it. |

Do you mean just to turn an image around as if it was being viewed in a mirror? Or having two parts to an image where each side is a mirror of the other? |

i flipped my image over for a challenge, and did not get DQ'ed
..I would imagine mirroring it would be ok too.

Duplicating the image would be illegal, yes. Flipping it would not. |

Isn't there a difference between flipping and rotating?

Yes. Rotating will make what was on the left be on the right but the image will be upside down. Flipping it will put the left on the right but the image will still be rightside up. |

Then this is rotated and not flipped right? Is one or the other legal or illegal?

Actually, my post was dumb. Flipping it from top to bottom is the same as rotating it. Both are legal. |

is there a difference between rotating 180 degrees and flipping over the horizonal axis?

Thanks. Yes I did mean making it appear like viewing from a mirror and not having two parts or anything (so no changes to the pixels apart from turning them over, so to speak). |
