Hi-ho,
Anyone got experience with the 20D grip problem / repair?
My grip was in the effected serial number range, so my local camera shop sent it to canon for repair, and now they say they want the body as well. God knows why.
Anyone had the same dilema?
Cheers, Me.

Can you tell them that if they need the camera, you as a working photog need a loaner camera...... it's the grip, not the camera with the potential problem isn't it?

That sounds pretty stupid. Must be one of the techs over there who needs a back up camera for a trip.

Tell them you'll just deduct the cost of camera rental from the repair bill.

Hi-ho,
I have a second body (10D), so that wasn't really the issue for me.
If they mod the camera to work with the grip and I get a new 20D body under warranty, does that mean the new body will have to be 'Fixed' to work with the grip?
Or if I get another 20 (as i'd like to...) will it have to be fixed even though it's brand new to work with the grip?
Given the Canon website article dosn't mention anything about the camera needing repair it all seems a tad odd...
Cheers, Me.
