They should be highlighted in red so that we can go straight to them, much like the DQed competition entries. No more searching - just look for the red beacon of amusement.

Aye!

I'm sorry that you disagree. I'm on my way to a meeting but will be glad to field any complaints/discussion via PM when I return. Otherwise, I'm not sure I have much more to say on the matter.

If it wasn't impossible to count I would start counting "non-DPC matter" threads right now.

Someone call Tom Clancy. This could be the making of a bestseller. All we need are a few bad guys, the CIA, a submarine and some Russians and were all set.

We need a SEAL team, a power struggle in the Chinese Government and a determined N. Korean operative.

You forgot Al Qaeda, the Iranian secret service and Mossad. :)

Dammit! Mossad. Why didn't I think about that. Drop the Soviet father and son storyline and pickup with an Israeli graphic artist with a shadowy past. I keep seeing some "hawt" Middle Eastern woman walking through town around me but never can catch up with her. Yeah, I'm liking this. Turns out she's a CIA operative and we had a tryst (does anyone really use "tryst") years ago when neither of us knew the secret life of the other.

Holy crap, is Tom Clancy's agent a member of DPC. I better keep this great material quiet so I can sell it to him later AND play this 2ndary role. Wow. I love DPC for the intrigue, too.

Non-DPC = relating to admin issues of another site, rather than general discussions of random stuff.

I find this so terribly insulting, I have never been so offended, I can't believe that you would post such a thing.

LOL

Oh and I can't express how insulted I am by your reply. Umbelivable how insensitive can some people be.

You have really crossed the line here!

If Alienyst's photo had simply been copied to another site, then that would be a different issue. Drawing a smiley icon is NOT stealing a photo. As Manic said, discussions of politics, current events and other issues are commonplace in the forums, but this was a private matter with another web site.

But not as big and strong as my mommy, no one kicks butt and takes names like Mommy. And before you ask: Yes, she does wear combat boots.

In defense of Manic and DPC Fanactics. And if asked I will remove this post. Alienyst I do recall talking to you for a little while in the chat last night. I asked if I could get a badass smiley.

Your reply:

If I can get a nudie boy smiley then I am sure you can get a badass smiley.

Now I am not trying to make you mad but it seems to me that you were joking about it and had no problem with it last night but now it is a problem? Why a change of opinion?

'I would really like to know two things?'

1. It is impossible to lick your eyebrows with your tongue.
2. Elephants aren't scared of mice!

Hope that helps?

Ahh, but not necessarily impossible to lick your eyebrows with someone else's tongue.

But they seem to have a rabid fear of those fake glasses with the plastic noses and mustaches attached to them. Come to think of it I don't remember ever seeing a bespectacled pachyderm.

To Scalvert: it was not a 'drawing' of my image. The image itself was used. That constitutes stealing in my book. I gave no permission for my image to be used in this way. So just because people are having fun with it makes it not stealing?

To Manic: the image was stolen and used for benefit/amusement without my permission. The thread you linked has nothing to do with what happened. And it IS a DPC matter since the image was stolen from DPC by a DPC member. Just because it was used on fanatics makes no difference. By your logic, I can steal any image from here, use it any way I like and it is not a DPC matter. You made it a non DPC matter because it was used on Fanatics and you claim no connection or affiliation to DPC in the chat room. I 'appeared amused' since it was already done, as I stated in my emails (please post correctly) and I wanted answers not the run around crap I have gotten. Would I have gotten any better response from you if I showed anger? I bet not. I asked you who did it and you gave me a crap response "I was overloaded, I don't remember." Yet you had a request and acted upon it. You should have known better. You knew it was not that persons image to use in any way, yet you posted the image anyway. You found it amusing, you perceived it as a joke. But did you ask me first? NO! Stealing and you were complicit in the act by negligence and irresponsibility.

And for the record, I had not been in Fanatics for at least a week, probably longer. When I went in yesterday I found that my username had been changed and my nude entry smiley was posted in my face. Then later, when others saw me in the room, they posted the image which tells me the image was common knowledge and people were having a great laugh at the expense of the theft of my image. I fail to see how just because it was a smiley makes it any less of a case of theft. It was clearly recognizeable as my image. Not a caricature, not a drawing, not a cartoon. You may think I am making a big deal out of this, but see how you feel when you innocently enter a chat room and find that your nude image has been being used for amusement. Stealing is stealing no matter what the use of the image is/was.

I do have a sense of humor, but I found no humor in that. If I had thought of it perhaps I may have done it myself. But I didn't. Yes, I thought of tee shirts, but not with the image, with the slogans that were posted.

If I remember correctly you were having a good time last night showing off the smiley and yet you say you saw no humor in it? Maybe I'm missing something.

Read my post above......why does it always seem to me that I am being ignored?

You were joking about it last night. Why the change?

Alienyst - I understand you are upset but I'm sure that no one meant to do you any harm. I suspect, after you having started three threads about "nudie boy," that people thought it would be cute to continue the joke, especially during a time when personal smiley requests have been big. I haven't seen the smiley myself but personally, I thought your original thread about this was in jest as well, given the good-natured discussion that's been going on about your photo. It's unfortunate that you feel that this was used against you but I highly doubt that was the intention and now that your feelings are clear, I think that Manic has done what he could to remedy the situation.
