How 'bout a challenge where all entries must be quite small, say no bigger than 200x200 pixels. It would be a challenge to make an effective image so small. Fun, though, I think.

With a picture that small, I think most of the challenge would be in the voting though getting a good crop to create a picture that small would also be a challenge.

I guess no one liked this idea much...

I like it! Check out the tinies gallery below (though these are 25x50).

I like the idea a lot (having tried to create 16x16 pixel icons for the title bars of webpages and the tabs in tabbed browsing - it's damn hard to make anything recognizable that size!). It might also give a little lift to the folks whose cameras do 2MP or less, since they can crop it and shrink it more creatively than they often can when they're trying to come out with a 600-pixel-wide crystal clear image.

Nobody's suggesting anything that small.

Actually this sounds like an interesting challenge, because in order to produce an effective picture, one would have to concentrate on simplicity. Anything too complicated would be impossible to judge properly as it would be really difficult to make out what was going on. For other challenges, however, I wish some people would stop making their entries so small. Some of those pictures look like they could be really good, but it's impossible to tell for sure.
