Is there any software out there for OS X that allows you to control the 300D from a laptop?

I've used Canon's own Remote Capture, but it has one flaw that I can't seem to get around: it requires the transfer of pictures to the laptop. Since this is at USB speeds, it takes forever to transfer RAW shots.

I'd like to set the laptop up to cause the cam to shoot every 10-15 seconds or so. If there is something for Win2K that will do this without sending shots to the laptop, I can probably scrounge an old x86 laptop for the job, but I'd rather use my iBook if I can.

Thanks,
Ara

I know this isn't what you're asking but there is a remote control available that lets you set up time lapse etc. I've never tried using a laptop for it before.

Actually I'm interested in a remote as well. Can you tell me the make/model? All the remotes for the 300D that I've seen online seem pretty basic.

Hmmm. I do feel like an upgrade, wanna trade? I'll even throw in a used $50 tripod to sweeten the deal. =]

The remote was the tc 80n (thanks setz) but upon further research it looks like it isn't compatible with the 300D :(
