Lots of these guys stocking up. Winter must be just around the corner.

Noooo...I don't want to hear about winter yet, even if you're right.

We have a big apple tree in the back of our yard and the squirrels are always bounding across the yard with huge apples in their mouths. It's quite comical since they have to jump pretty high in order to clear the ground and I wonder if they can actually see around the apple. I'm not sure where they store them, though.

squirrels forget where 90% of the stuff they collect is. so they waste alot of energy collecting food that is just going to spoil.

sometimes i wonder if the stock piles they do end up using for food are even the ones they buried, or some other squirrels stash..

I was wondering how anyone could say that then I saw your from MN. Here in the south were counting the days.

We've had a pretty hot and dry summer. Lake Superior is really warm in comparison to what it usually would be this time of year. Hopefully - the warmer waters will make for some killer snow falls this year! I love snow!!

Wow, winter is still 2 or 3 months away!... ohhhhhhhhh I should shush about living in Florida :)
