Each year there's a large hot air balloon event in Colorado Springs, I got a chance to get a couple of pictues and thought I'd share some of the better ones. I haven't gotten a chance to work with any of these yet, they are all straight from cameray, Enjoy.

Nice lookin shots, wish I would have gone. Looks like it was a great morning for it.

How'd you get the sky exposed so well? I have the hardest time getting the sky exposed correctly. Also how wide of a lens did you use?

I used my 18-70 lens for most of the shots, and the fisheye is the nikon 10.5 mm
Exposure I set to aperature mode, took a couple of test shots and adjusted exposure compensation to get the image I wanted. Checked every once in a while to make sure everything was good

wish I would have known about this. oh well. next year. any other interesting events coming up in Colorado..(question for Schmitt or Truan)?

I've been thinking we should have a GTG in Rocky Mountain National Park or Mt. Evans. What Does everybody think?

RMNP would be fun, I've never gotten a chance to make it up there yet. For events coming up, the only thing on my mind right now is the beginning of ski season! Winterpark says they are opening november 16th, Loveland usually opens at the end of October. I can't wait!

No real great events that I know of. Oktoberfest is coming up and then the Aspens turning is always a good shoot. I usually try to head up toward Cripple Creek to see the Aspens, this year I plan to go shoot them. They say mid-late Sept is the best time.
