Exactly, I bought a canon rebel xt, still own it... let hubby use it as I didn't like it and he wanted to try a DSL. If i was doing it again.. I'd buy the KM 5D as it showed me that its a better camera with the built in Image Stabilization, and the kit lens also shows me that its better. The KM 5D is a great option for thovse who are now gettign into DSLRs as it DOES have antishake, and you dont have to buy an expensive lens for that option.

Also, just comparing specs will not give you enought information to determine what is best for you. (not directed at anyone in particular) Not everything that looks good on paper looks and feels good in person.

What feels the most comfortable in your hands is the one you will most likely be using.

I bought this camera for my daughter as a gift, and have seen teh work that it is capable of. For the money its far and above better than the rebel XT. For samples of my daughter's pictures using her 5D please go to her smugmug web site:

Bridgestone crew
and

Toronto Air Show

She used a Quantaray Telephoto lens with the airshow pics and the kit lens with the car pics.
As I own the Canon 350D and have used this camera I fully will stand behind that fact that the KM 5D is far and above better than the Canon.
