Hi Heidi :-)
Welcome aboard. Don't feel stupid at all. Even seasoned veterans around here enter the wrong pic or such from time to time.
I realize you're too late to get into the shoe challenge, but if you have your shoe shot in the 'Branch' challenge, it is probably off topic for the challenge and could really take a beating. You can pull the submission as long as you do it before the challenge deadline (midnite on tue. night). Just click on the 'view and submit' link under the challenge header on the home page, if you have a shot submitted, it will take you to the photo page for that shot where you can review and edit the details etc. Then scroll down and towards the bottom I believe is an option to edit or un-submit :-)
...and you still have to midnite to get a new shot for 'Branch'! Good luck :-)

The 'Shoe' challenge entered voting, so there is no way to submit to it now. The branch challenge is still in the submission stage so you can unsubmit the photo if you wish. Probably a good idea to do so -- it would really suck to be DQed in your first challenge. (For invalid time/date stamp -- not wrong challenge).

Oh, good point David. I didn't even think about the time frame, I was just thinking of saving her from all the 'DNMTC' -wwyt- comments :-P

If it makes you feel any better I submitted this picture accidently in the Sports Action Challenge. It was a test shot I was going to enter into the Master's Challenge and forgot to delete it! It came in 2nd to last!

You could have just changed the title. "A different Branch!" |

From looking through challenges I'd guess you weren't the first to do this. My first challenge came in 5th place and then got DQed because I didn't know how to properly save my pic. We just learn from our mistakes and move on. You'll get the hang of it all. Good Luck and Welcome!!

Hello heidih, and welcome to dpc.
If you put an image into one challenge it would be against the rules to use the same image again for another challenge. Here's a quote from the rules-- "A photograph may only be used in one challenge, even if it is cropped or altered differently to fit another challenge. Duplicate photos will be disqualified."
If you put a shot into the wrong challenge it will probably score fairly low, but don't sweat it. Just try to get a better score in the next one you enter. Good Luck.
