This is the insert we've been working on this evening for our bridal show DVD.
Goals:
Fun, informative, bright, goes with our current advertising (that front cover pic, etc) and sort of traditional while being a bit different.
What do you think? The text isn't proofed/finished yet, but the images and layout are pretty much where we think we want them. I may border the images on the back like I did the top one on back...what do you think? What would make this say WOW to you?

IMHO, the image should have the WOW! factor immediately. If I were passing by and happen to glance at your table, you should be able to make me stop and take a second glance at what you have. I think the cover is more traditional than you think. Nothing wrong with that as we're supposed to tailor our shots and materials for the targeted audience.
This was a DVD cover I made for a wedding proof.

I don't really like the text layout used on the back. There is just so much white space.
I would go with the simple frame idea as well for the images, as they kind of need it and I think is better to keep he three the same.
My suggestion to the back would be too have a background image or something like a veil, that is almost opaque (so it doesn't become too busy), but visible enough to take away some of the white.
I like the front of the DVD cover. It’s a great image and it shows people what you are about.
The bride is not standing in the 'normal' pose. She has a lot of life in her and the photo experience seems fun.

i think you should separate the text from the background on the front cover. it gets lost in the trees.
also, there's no contact information on the cover. it should probably be at the bottom of the back cover at the least. |

Re: contact info - GOOD idea. Nobody has mentioned it on anywhere I posted. Thanks for the good tips guys - I hope to have an update in a few hours or tomorrow sometime! :)
