I know this is out of the relm of the questions that generally appear here but I need to pick someone's brain. I'm in Colorado. I have a friend who has put together a ton of food and supplies to take to Opelousas, LA, to an emergency dialysis center in a church that is also housing 150 people. People have been so generous and anxious to help that we have completely filled two large trailers and have more that won't fit. Only problem is that one of the guys who was going to drive his truck down and pull a trailer backed out. I've tried everywhere I can think to get a truck but to no avail. The rental companies don't allow you to pull a trailer with a rental. I contacted 9 News to see if they would do a story on it and they said they're already doing too many stories like that. Too many??? Does anyone have any brilliant ideas of where I could look to get a truck? Borrow...rent...whatever. Thanks for your thoughts. |

Call around and see if anyone can donate one. Local car lots, local businesses that may have a truck they are not using...
Call other churches and charities and see who else may be making a trek down there and may have extra room to haul stuff down.

Maybe try any moving companies in your area. Possibly they would donate use of a truck and a driver to volunteer to drive it down?
