i hate to be the one to say this - but by the look of the thumbs, there are an awful lot of b&w tonal images. I thought high contrast was the opposite of having a abunaces of shades and midtones...????

Let's make this easy - if the blacks are jet black and the whites are blown out - it's high contrast.
