Hi...just wondering if any of you would mind commenting/critiquing my first attempt at a serious photoshop editing. i know the photo isn't the best, but i really wanted to experiment today.

Commented. Out of curiosity, the thread title mentions dodge & burn, but the image seems as if its been enhanced with levels and hue/saturation; I wonder which is accurate? In any case I see little evidence of the D&B tools, so if you used them they blend right in. I suppose that's how you got brightness on the right side of the face?

i also used levels (actually, curves) and saturation, but i always use those...i was just testing out the dodge and burn.

i really wanted the d&b to be subtle. guess it is a bit too subtle (yes, i did used it on the right side of the face).
