Hello friends,
Since I love so much shooting night shots of New York City from the New Jersey shores of the Hudson River, I thought maybe some might be interested in getting together and shooting the full moon this month. I shoot from many different spots around NYC from Liberty State Park to the George Washington Bridge. Depending on how many people want to do this will greatly limit where we can get together and shoot these shots of the full moon. This month we can shoot from 9/15-9/19 the best time I would imagine would be Friday or Saturday 9/16 or 9/17.
We would be meeting around 6pm or so. If you think you would like to join us, weather permitting, or we can take pictures of rain, please e-mail me and I̢۪ll try to organize this little outing. Love to meet some of you in person.
Mike

I had no idea that that strip of roadway which flanks the Jersey Hudson shoreline even existed until a few years back when I took a bus from NYPA to Teaneck for a job. Wow, wow, wow is that awesome.
I've been trying to get a pal, of mine who lives in Fort Lee, to drive me along that strip one of these evenings to catch some Manhattan sunset stuff but he's turned up lame each great clear night.
It's a great idea, I might be game depending on how busy I am.

OK excellent news, I can't make it on the 17th good news because I am doing a paid photography gig. Excellent isn't it? So I will be shooting on 9/16. I am shooting from NJ right accross the river from 42nd Street. E-mail me if you want to join me. I want to get there around 6pm since the moon rises at 6:37 that night it will give us a lot of time to setup.
If you would like to join me e-mail me at mpr@mprproductions.com. Hope to see a bunch of you there. BTW It will not be an offical full moon but hey 97% isn't bad. The full moon is on the 17th.
If you are going to come to NJ on the NY water way ferry let me know and I'll pick you up.

Nice panorama, nice location. Hope the rain holds off! |

Just so you know it was only me and another guy and I got two pictures for some challenges, no moon though too cloudy. We had fun. |
