Trying to find the ID of this plant.

Considering it for a print to go into the Smugmug gallery raising funds for Katrina relief. I'm really ditherbating here if it would be ok for that, needs more editing, or should I go back to the drawing board and find another shot to work on. LOL it's Friday night... been a long week!

thanks :)

told ya it'd been a long week......I forgot the link to the image d'uh!!

I'm going to take an educated guess here and say it is in the mint family. I have never seen one of that veriety, so I can't help much beyond that.

Thanks for that :) Leaves did have a minty smell, though the flower kinda resembled one of the lavender family. Will go on a search over the wkend when there's more time.

ID'd Thanks Macrothing! Coleus canis, an animal repellant herb and toxic to dogs. Friend, whose garden it was in won't be impressed as she has a little spaniel.

the good thing is they can't stand the smell and will stay away from it. Good to plant or spray where you want the dog to stay away from...may see if I can grow some between me and my neighbors yard to keep the dog refuge on the proper sides.
