Has any one seen in the manual mode of the D70 the shutter speed not staying locked where you set it?
I just noticed this in the past week and I am wondering if I have something set funny or there is a problem with the camera. |

You are not alone. I have the same situation with my Konica Minolta 7d! |

i dont know about nikons, but canon external flashes have a high speedmode that allows you to use the flash at all shutter speeds, and if you dont have the high speed mode enabled on the flash and you have the shutter speed set faster that its xsync then it defaults to 1/250
might be the case if you are using a flash

it's not about the body it's about the lens. The ss changes to adjust for equal exposure when you zoom on the lens. They thought they were doing us all a favor but it's a pain in the end |

interesting... I have had this happen both in studio an no flash even with my 105 prime...
but it makes me insane on a model shoot because I have metered for the strobes and the damn settings keep randomly changing |
