I was trying to think of a challenge that would relate to Katrina but would be edifying (rather than glorifying the horrors with a "storm" challenge, etc.)
And I think I finally came upon an idea that I feel would be good and in good taste...
A Helping Hand...
Detail: take a photo that demonstrates the best of humanity, that captures someone(s) lending aid or assistance to others
"Hand in Hand"
Another idea I had...was that whatever score an individuals photo gets that we would donate that amount to relief efforts. If everyone participated - with an avg vote of say 5.0 and 500 entries we would raise $2,500 in donations.
My thought was maybe the SC could create a DPC paypal account to which we could submit donations (from both this challenge and any "print sales" donations). Then the total raised could be donated to say the Red Cross from the "Friends and Members of DPChallenge"

Sounds good. It would be interesting to see if everyone can make a print of their entry and donate all proceeds to the cause. Never seen a challenge where every entry was made into a print.

Only paid members could do such...
