My 4 year old baby girl started school today(pre-k). I wanted to share because it's amazing how children make it through things that we as adults can barely make it through. When she woke she had a small rash on her face, which by the time she went to school had covered her from head to toe(food hives). She was feeling ok, and still wanted to go and since we are used to the hives I let her. I let the school know that she wasn't feeling well and if she got worse to call me. When I picked her up(school is only 2 hours) she was burning up with a fever and still smiling saying she had a great day and couldn't wait to go back. She was so disappointed when I told her she coouldn't go tomorrow. Apparently on top of her food hives she has the flu her daddy had a few days ago, that had him laid up in bed. Here she is bless her heart with a fever of 102 and still smiling. Just wanted to share since I'm so proud of her strength.

Angie, She is a sweetie. I love the way our children give us the chance to learn from them. Give her extra hugs - she'll want them and you'll need them. It's tough to watch our children grow... away.

What a sweet doll she is :) My son started kindergarten Monday, as well, and I've been lamenting the end of a childhood era, so to speak for the past few days. So exciting when they come home proud of their new knowledge and accomplishments. Congrats to you on becoming a 'School Mom'!
