were're not ignorant, well atleast i'm not. it's all politics duh!! we bend over backwards for everyone else but cant really help our own. and when they do help our own it's like this.....our government sends welfare mothers to college for free but have others struggle to get an education if they make more than $30,000 a yr and that aint shit where i live! if you have too many kids you can get a car too! its bullshit! I HATE people who abuse the welfare system, they make me sick and our piece of shit government lets them do it. "Oh i hurt my back" "well let's put you on disability" two weeks later the person is living the life off of free money while i bust my ass everyday at work to pay for it through taxes and meanwhile the welfare mooch is using my money to do drugs, buy smokes, or a bottle! BUY some CONDOMS!!!!

Ok, what the hell? What's going on ther?, That's hilarious whether you're pro-bush, pro-kerry or pro bikini inspector.

Did somebody hack some meta tags into that website or something?

I believe it's called a Google Bomb.

Good stuff. Someone has been putting some time in for this to work.

While MadMordegan does take swings into hyperbole, I doubt his post is rooted in any "radical hatred" (speaking of hyperbole) against an entire country. How does one reason that a person hates an entire country based on a complaint regarding corporate advertising and corporate concerns effecting corporate news? Are his complaints unwarranted? I recall several years ago when "60 Minutes" pulled their interview with former Brown & Williams Tobacco Vice President Jeffrey Wigand regarding the business practices of the tobacco industry for fear of a lawsuit by his former employer. While the piece eventually did air, a factually important news story was kept out of the public eye over concerns with the bottomline. How is pointing out the shared interests between corporate news agencies and their parent companies, while perhaps overly dramatic, indicative of a "radical hated" of America?

Allright... Someone got offended (personnaly), that's allright it always happens. Ok, it's not just Americans, more and more cultures are turning like this. But why?
The United States of America are the biggest, most powerfull country right now, in another context, all you true americans that love their country so dearly would say "Fucking right!"
So we've established that, you guys rule!
What happens when you rule? You have influence and your culture gets exported easily along with moral values (us Canadians are right next to you so... Yeah, we're just as corrupted only we're not powerfull enough to f**k with other countrys so our government screws with its own people and rips them off.
Most Americans would not know that because you've been so busy with what's going on in your own country since Bush got elected but we had a major scandal here in Canada. Our government, including our ex-prime minister and our current one we're involved in large, very large amounts of money being stolen from the national treasure, paid to company's to promote the Canadian unity. How's was it stolen, our governments people set up this scheme to create false invoices for work that was never done... Those people got a lot of money back from those companys as donations to the liberal party and had to keep their mouths shut in order to keep some.
So anyways... All I'm saying is the more power you got, the more power you have to fool your own people. America is so powerfull, that it can't just fool and mess their own, they have to mess with other countrys to keep that power. How do they do it? With bullshit wars. I'm sure if Canada was as strong as Americans... We'd do it too.
Why? Because that's what happens when you have power.
Read Orwell's 1984, it teaches how every rich society in history does it... Roman empire, Third Reich... You name it!
When you have power, you will do anything to keep it. The best way to keep it is to have your people behind you, how do you that?
You lie to them. It just happens to be USA's turn to suffer this inner conflict.
I don't hate Americans. I hate what power makes your leaders do.

You guys aren't dumb, you are being misinformed by your government who are very good at what they do. Maintening the power at all cost.

Edit: Being misinformed and lied to will cause you to ignore what's really happening. Hense the term ignorant. It's got nothing to do with intellectual capacity.

Read? That is asking a lot. A great book and very much on point. For those on a tight budget (due to the price of petroleum) you can read it here for free.

Another suggested book would be Closing of the American Mind by Allan Bloom, quite possibly a more fundamental place to start for examining how we, as a Western culture, have evolved (or, if you prefer, were designed intelligently) to our current situation.

Precisely my point.

Reading yes, but what about correct spelling? That might not hurt either.

Edited for snide remark. It is a boring Friday night.

Edited for my poor grammar. (As Sister Prudentia slaps my knuckles - imagine "The Penguin" in the movie the Blues Brothers. She taught me English in parochial school.)

Ever hear or read quotes that just enter your mind and fits right in like the missing piece of a puzzle... On so many levels. Thank you JV for sharing that one.

Believe it or not, we are not all zombies that follow Bush because we love the smell of blood.

Actually, half the people in America hate him.....wake up.

Oh, and I know what the word ignorant means.

I by the way support him. :)

American History shows that the "poor" was the last to be fed, help and viewed upon to be less of a citizen. I'm wondering if we have learned from that, (no, IMHO) or that we are truely seeing our colors, Red, Black and Blue.

That's why I've said many, many, many times... That I don't hate americans.

I'm very aware of that, if half of americans hate him... How do you think he was elected? By cheating and lying!

Wow, thats pretty cool how you know he was elected that way. You must have some inside info. Good stuff.

I will not no fight with you, sorry.

For the cheating, a lot of the "inside info" got spilled out for anyone who can read and do some research by himself.

For the lying, I just notice when he says the opposite of what he said before. Edit: Or maybe he's just ignorant of what the truth is... As I mentioned before, I don't give him as much credit as the team behind him pulling his strings.

How about using the von Trapp method (Sound of Music - it is a musical)?

"Let's start at the very beginning / A very good place to start."

The very beginning.

Another snide remark. Again, it is a boring Friday night.

Edited for grammar, again. (Sister Prudentia swings at me, again.)

You're in Louisiana. In New Orleans, to be exact. There is chaos around
you, caused by a hurricane and severe floods. This is a flood of major
proportions.
You are a photojournalist working for a major newspaper caught in the
middle of this great disaster. The situation is nearly hopeless. You're
trying to shoot career-making photos. There are houses and people
swirling around you, some disappearing under the water. Nature is
showing all its destructive fury. You see a man in the water! He is
fighting for his life, trying not to be taken away with the water and
debris.

You move closer. Somehow the man looks familiar. Suddenly, you know who
it is ... it's George W. Bush! At the same time you notice that the
raging waters are about to take him under, forever.
You have two options. You can save him or you can take the most dramatic
photos of your life.
You can save the life of George W. Bush, or you can shoot a Pulitzer
Prize-winning photo, documenting the death of one of the world's most
powerful men.
Now, here's the question (please give an honest answer).

Would you select colour film, or rather go with the classic simplicity
of black and white?
