| I was wondering if there was any way to find out which of my comments was judged to be helpful by the recipients? Since I'm no expert myself it would be just as useful, I believe, to learn from your own criticsm as from others. I tried clicking on My Profile and clicking on the highlighted number beside 'helpful comments', but it says this user has made 0 comments. |

You can't see comments you've made in a challenge that is still under voting. All will be well tomorrow.

I got a chance to review which comments people found helpful, and which were ignored as being s**te-talk. I was pleased to find that out of the 66 comments it says I made, that 65 were considered helpful. Maybe I'm not talking as much rubbish as I feared.
Later I did notice however, while browsing the 20 top entries, that some people just tick ALL comments as helpful. While others simply ignore anything other than fawning remarks. Kind of disheartening and discourages me from going to the bother of taking all the time to make that many comments again if they only get heeded when they say something like: Cool pic, I like it :) *brown nose* |

| Hey there. You've actually made 126 comments of which 65 were 'helpful'. I'm not really sure why the 'comments made' is not in real time, but the 'helpful comments' are. Doesn't make a lot of sense, and maybe just something no one noticed before. But if you click on the numbers in your profile you can see the comments you've made and see that there are definately more than one that are not checked. Anyway, the stats don't really mean a lot since like you said, some people always check it, and some never do, so it's more or less just a guideline. If they check all comments BUT yours, then I'd say you may need to adjust your commenting style, however, if you're with the 'norm' then go for it. |

Yeah, now that I went back to my profile and had another look, it now says I made 66 comments, 77 of which were helpful. :-? So much for the site stats. Aw well!

Don't stop commenting please. I read all your comments and they are helpful and insightful.

so often the comments here are as they say 'brutally honest'! but lack in useful thought. Yours are done with care...........and I am only sort of kind thank you! ha ha
