I have a Scandisk 6 in 1 reader, after installing photoshop CS the reader has a tendency to be removed from the computer, as if you were removing it from the remove hardware icon. If it is reading a card when this occurs the card is then unusable, you can not reformate at all. I have a Dell computer and am using Windows XP. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes, I actually had a similar problem, but it was when I switched cameras. Previously, I used SD cards; when put a regular compact flash card in the 6 in 1 reader, it just stopped working (and had a creepy, plasticy burning smell)! Luckily, my fancy-schmancy 2 gig memory card was okay, but I ended up having to buy a new card reader. The one I got is Lexar, which seems perfectly okay. My Scandisk reader was fairly new, so it was frustrating.

Maybe someone else can help you with any ideas specifically related to CS and Scandisk, but I just had to tell you my similar experience with the same reader.

By the way, when I saw the title of this thread, I thought you were going to start talking about challenge comments ;-)
