can anyone give me any advice on my editing, ive finally got round to starting to learn about levels and the dodge and burn tools, any advice would be greatly appreciated !
ive tried to be as restrained as possible with these tools although fairly happy with this as a first attempt,

Processing looks fine. You've done well. Your camera exhibits noticeable barrel distortion (straight lines near edge of frame are bulging) and this is detracting from the image somewhat. Also, as tater points out, your verticals are "converging", although in this case it's an attractive convergence and I wouldn't worry about it. This isn't limited to digital cameras, by the way; it's true of any optical system including the naked eye. Look up at a tall skyscraper and you can see the convergence yourself. It's a function of having the image plane out of parallel with the subject plane.
If you want to minimize/eliminate the convergence and barrel distortion, step further back from your subject, square up the camera, and place the subject more centrally left-to-right but more in the top part of the frame, then crop bottom and left to regain this particular composition.
The barrel distortion decreases as you move in from the edge and the convergence will disappear if the camera is set up on a true vertical plane. You can use a small bubble level to check this.
