Man, food photography is obviously difficult to do well--so many shots that didn't quite tonally make it, some of them even revolting. As contrasted to the Nude challenge--I've never voted so many high scores, tons of 6s, lots of inviting toning. Why is this? Can we more easily recognize attractiveness in photos of people than food, or maybe it's just the preponderance of grayscale images. (I didn't enter either of these challenges.)

a lot more newbies enter an op-en challenge than do members challenges.
There is always a quality difference between the members challenge and the open challenge.
(not that theres anything wrong with that) |

Excellent point. I never seem to notice whether a challenge is open or not, just about whether advanced editing is authorized. (what a ditz, eh?)

D&L of DPC are Drew and Langdon, our humble comanders (site owners) but D &L can be anything you please for the challenge - check out the thread in current challenges ;) |
