Brad will probably go 20D or higher, even if it means waiting. |

Your right tri-x is offically rated at a higher iso, but few people actually use it at that iso. When I took photography back in college they had us shoot it at iso 120, but I like the results I get @ 100. It also depends on what developer your using and at what temperature.
I also often shot velvia @ iso 40 at times. |

I had a habit of shooting tri-x at 320 if I remember right I think I did that because of some processing requirements. |

I always use Tri-x at 400 iso, actually I shot every film with 400 now, I really can't work with any other stuff anymore, it just feels comfortable. It's fast and the results are mildly noisy. Something I really love.

The 350D is considerably less of a toy than Brad's LAST camera, and I seem to recall him doing OK with that one. I'm sure it was luck. Oh yeah, 11 ribbons in about 9 months... that was ALL luck. ;-) |

Congrats Brad, good to have you back...
As for the eVolt $999.00 > $899.00 > $799.00 > $539.00 in seven months just don't add up for me...I think Fry's here has finally given up trying to move the thing. Possibly it is the noise levels that start at ISO-800 that are giving people second thoughts about this one, or maybe it is cause it's just plain ugly (IMO).

Is that a playboy bunny nose stud? bling!
I hope nobody took my "toy" comment seriously, LOL. Just seems like a real small camera body for a ham-fisted mechanic... jejejeâ¢

Mine arrived today from dell. Paid a little under $600 (I had to pay tax here in TN). It seems to be as good or better than reviews I've read. But the real test will be Friday when I get my 50-200 from adorama. |
