I am using a windows XP and am getting this error message

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data is not accessible
The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable

Half my programs arent working as a result of this... any ideas on how to fix it? I have tried system restore, and I tried renaming the folder and making a new "application data" folder from the information from \All Users\Application Data but for some reason windows recognizes the corrput folder as the Application Data folder no matter what i name it or where i move it to. Any ideas?

Create a new admin user. This should hopefully recreate the Application Data directory for you.
