Does anyone know of any good books on photography, ones that show different methods and techniques, photographers?

looking at your chive dirt picture, I think you might get some inspiration out of Edward Weston or Ansel Adams' work. Adams also wrote some instructional books, among them "The Print" and "The Negative".
Another possibility would be the National Geographic photo books.
Heck, why don't you go and have a look at your local bookstore, a Barnes & Noble or surf amazon.com for recommended photo books?

Those look very curious to me. I'll check them out if the Library has them. Just yesterday I spent a long while at B&N at the photography section, though most of them were on female models and war-struck lands. I would like to get The Photography Book. That has an interesting list of photographers.

Every time I go to the library, I always make sure to check out their photrography section. And I find around 100 books or so about every topic imaginable (within the realms of photography), and there's always some I'm interested in. I've found some great books just at my local library and it's quite convenient.
