This has been such a long week! Waiting for my BLUE ribbon winner to start being displayed is driving me crazy. Maybe it is not so good to have a brilliant idea come right away, and then execute the thought of shot only a day fater the challenge begins.
Finally my day of glory is coming! I'm sure the rest of you will do well too - just not making number 1. Good news for you is that I'll be in such a great mood over my scores that you'll probably all get a ten from me.

Can someone explain why my entry changed color and tone after uploading?

The colors went flat or something. Am I doing something wrong in photoshop?

your photo may be in AdobeRGB color space. you need to convert to sRGB in Photo Shop.

Yes, no greater than 640w or height.

I am in RGB, I am not seeing a sRGB option.
It looks fine in photoshop after I save it, but when uploaded it all changed..LOL

this bites.

So you're using Photoshop, you've resized your shot to 640max, then you hit File -> Save for Web... Optimize for file size is = 150?

Open the saved image with the windows viever. Check the colours. If they're not the same as in photoshop/paint shop, you software might need calibration.

open your photo in PS, then go to "edit/convert to profile". if your working profile is adobeRGB, you can pick up the sRGB from the list, convert before you save it for web.

Ok, its on sRGB.

I am using SAVE AS rather than Save for Web.

When I used Save for Web, my pixels got jagged.

well just entered my first photo with my new camera! looks good, probably boring, but the shots clear. dont see a blue, but it should do well over a 5 and thats great with me considering the crap i took with that Rebel...and guess what? it only took about 20 shots compared to the 50-80 shots with the DSLR..woohoo timesaver! anyway good luck everyone!

queanbeez-

I must of missed part of your story, why are you preferring the Powershot S2 IS over the rebel?
