Seems like every week at least one Coke can manages to make its way into the challenge. Why not make that the topic of one? I would believe that it's available virtually everywhere in the world, and I would imagine this might spur some interesting creativity, similar to the "Pencil" theme...

Alan, Good idea, BUT...lol...there's got to be a "BUT" include any beverage. I think there'd be more room for creativity. Like, juice, wine, milk, etc.

Nah... just Coke. And not necessarily just the cans/bottles themselves... could be a sign, vending machine etc.
And if all goes well, it would be great kiss-up material for D&L to try to get them to sponsor the site :)

Plus, since I'm a Steelers fan, I'm already thinking of ways I could try to track down "Mean Joe" Greene to re-enact the commercial where he tosses the kid (who would be played by me for the DPC shot...) a shirt or whatever it was after the kid gives him a drink during the game. Anyone else remember this commercial from the 70s? Or am I already aging more than I care to admit at 34...?

| I'm all for this. I'm one of the guilty parties - nearly submitted my second Coke photo for Illusions, but I wasn't too happy with the results. |

| I would definetly be up for it. I drink at least 2 cans every weekday and god knows how much on the weekends so should be able to envision a decent photo with all that available subject matter. |

I remember it very well... apparently the success of the commercial took everyone, including the ad agency, Greene and Coke, by surprise.

It can't be just Coke; Coke is evil. Maybe it could be any carbonated beverage or any cola.

I think its a valid theme if its available everywhere.
There is plenty of scope for creativity within this narrow field. Finding a new angle on an single theme is what advertisers do all the time. Thats the challenge.
You would just need to capture the product, not consume it. What does it matter what it is? |

Looking at 250+ cans of coke all week would drive me nuts!
Good idea, needs opening up ('canned drinks' or 'canned produce').
